Monica Sanders, Director of the Bill Anderson Fund, recently accepted invitations to join two advisory boards. The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (https://www.ibts.org/) asked her to join other practitioners, business and civic leaders as well as academics in providing insight about the National Equitable Climate Resilience Project. The ECR Project seeks to understand how cities address ECR issues now and what solutions and tools can help cities to improve America’s ECR and, subsequently, to apply that understanding.
In addition, Monica was asked to join Republic.co (https://republic.co/about), a crowdsourcing platform for tech startups. It focuses on mission-driven startups and structures opportunities to make angel investing and venture capital funding available to more Americans. Monica was asked to help think through how the nature of 'work' has changed and what the tech and venture capital communities can do to contribute to a resilient, inclusive, post COVID-19 economy.
